VIOLIN TECHNIQUE & REPERTOIRE*
One-on-one lessons with Rupert Guenther
Pre-requisite: Advanced level students, professional players and teachers.
Fees: AUD $132/hour including 10% GST (terms: payable 5 lessons in advance). All major credit cards accepted.
Location: School of Creative Arts, Wangara. Lessons also available world-wide on Skype or Zoom.
Description: Classical violin technique & repertoire, professional development including professional coaching & mentoring.
This is an opportunity to further your ongoing professional technical and musical development, audition preparation, or rebuild your technique completely (this usually takes around 3 months). Includes exactly how to prepare and execute all bow strokes (detache, martele, legato, colle, spiccato, up-bow & down-bow staccato, ricochet, flying staccato), technical etudes/studies and concert repertoire, as well as correct preparation and practice for reliable left hand technique, intonation, shifting, vibrato, double-stops, harmonics and stop-harmonics, and raising your tone, phrasing, articulation, intensity, and projection to a soloistic level. Also problem solving for teaching including preparatory exercise systems, and analytic insights for fixing faulty technique.

GOING ELECTRIC FOR STRINGS*
One-on-one lessons with Rupert Guenther
Pre-requisite: Open to all students, music teachers and musicians of an intermediate standard and above
Fees: AUD $132/hour including 10% GST (terms: payable 5 lessons in advance). All major credit cards accepted.

Description: Everything you need for going electric with violin, viola, cello & contra-bass.
Learn how to go electric for strings. Includes practical instruction and experience in every aspect of going electric. Discover how to use the different types of instruments, what the different FX pedals do and how to use them, using looping pedals, and a practical understanding of the range of amps and PAs. This course allows participants of classical string instruments to have the first hand experience and know-how to play on electric instruments in rock, blues, pop and folk/world music solo or in bands. Also available is expert consultation and guidance to purchase appropriate instruments, amps and FX if you don't already have them.

HEALING STAGE-FRIGHT*

Description: Stage-fright is a big issue for some people, and a significant issue for many. If you do get really nervous to the extent that you can’t express yourself or share and enjoy what you really love about music in your performances, this course will enable you to begin to heal your fears around performing, and regain your original inspiration for taking up music in the first place.
You will learn practical on-the-spot approaches which will change your whole experience of playing in public, and dissolve the old patterns which caused you to feel anxiety instead of joy. Includes specific take-home techniques and practical tools for on-stage use in even the most demanding performances.

CLASSICAL MUSIC IMPROVISATION*
One-on-one lessons with Rupert Guenther
Pre-requisite: Open to ALL instruments including voice, percussion, piano, strings, brass, woodwind etc. No previous improvisation experience necessary.
Fees: AUD $132/hour including 10% GST (terms: payable 5 lessons in advance). All major credit cards accepted.

Description: This is an opportunity for participants to get intensive (and fun!) experience in making their own music through improvisation and composition.
Open to all players, teachers and musicians of an intermediate standard and above, who want to start music improvisation and composition or accelerate their progress further. Learn how to improvise and compose your own music solo or in bands and ensembles. Includes classical music, rock, pop, blues and folk/world music sounds and styles. Start your own band, record your own music, or just jam with your friends. These skills enable you to express yourself, your ideas and your passion through your own music. They are the ticket to being able to join in and play with other students and musicians of any musical background or style without needing music stands or pieces of paper for the notes. No need to learn another instrument to join in, the instrument you can already play is perfect!
